Our first shoot of the decade channels the energy of the medicine woman. Your inner medicine woman is who heals what can be healed, resists what must be resisted, breathes lessons into our mistakes, and applies those lessons towards opening our narrowly-defined selves.

I wanted to shatter myths of how we define beauty and vanity as we age.

During this shoot, it warmed my heart to see a tribe of women come together and gather their energy to spark empowerment, friendship, and sisterhood. In a world where we are drowning with images of unattainable beauty, it’s refreshing to take a deep breath of acceptance and celebrate ourselves.

We played with hair extensions to break the ageist belief that long hair is only for the young. Don’t subscribe to rules that hold back your expression or experiences! I invite us to encourage and empower each other as we navigate our own beauty journeys.

I hope you’re inspired by these powerful women who, like all of us, are on a path to creating our best selves.
